Each year, ABC Ohio Valley recognizes the achievements of its members through its Excellence in Construction Awards and Safety Excellence Awards, highlighting exceptional projects and a strong commitment to jobsite safety. Regional award recipients may also advance to compete at the national level, showcasing their work among the industry’s best.

The association supports the principle that contracts should be awarded based on qualifications, value, and performance. Recognizing Excellence in Construction and Safety
The Excellence in Construction Awards feature two levels of recognition: the Award of Excellence, the highest honor, and the Award of Merit. Recipients are presented with a distinguished American Eagle trophy symbolizing achievement and pride in workmanship. These awards recognize projects that demonstrate superior quality, innovation, and a strong commitment to delivering work safely, on time, and within budget.
The Chapter Safety Excellence Awards highlight companies that demonstrate leadership and innovation in jobsite safety, including efforts that extend safety awareness to every individual on the project. At the national level, the Safety Excellence Awards honor companies with an outstanding and sustained commitment to safety performance and culture. Evaluations are based on STEP data submissions, written responses, and executive interviews, with categories determined by annual work hours and industry classifications under NAICS codes.
