Welcome
A little about ourselves
Career Adventure Camp was a program that was sponsored by the Dayton Public Library. This program was an outreach program for 7th and 8th grade students within the Dayton Public Library footprint. This program was designed as an outreach experience for the participants. This gave them a look into different career paths that are available to them.
Ohio Valley ABC was excited to be chosen for the construction day. This afforded us the opportunity to work with the 30 student participants and give them a real look into the construction field. During their day with us they built a bank out of sheet metal, a tool box, got to experience sitting heavy equipment and learn how it is operated plus they got a real hands on experience into the field of electrical trade.
It was a positive experience not just for the participants but the volunteers as well. Watch this video and you will get a glimpse of what the students got to experience during the week.
