2026 Woman of the Year in Construction

This award recognizes a woman (individual) within an ABC Ohio Valley member company who excels in all areas of her job. This employee exhibits pride, honor, leadership, setting and then raising the standard for quality, is a master of the skills required to do any task required for her position or craft, coaches and mentors’ others, representing the Merit Shop as a field or office professional. The winner of this award best embodies the ideals of Merit Shop through superior effort and talent as recognized by others.

Eligibility:

Nominees for the ABC Woman of the Year in Construction award must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Must be currently employed by an ABC Ohio Valley member company.

2. Must be a woman.

Deadline:

Nominations will be accepted through April 9, 2026.

Schedule:

Judging will take place in April 2026. Numerous finalists may be selected and recognized, however, only one Woman of the Year in Construction will be selected. That individual, along with all finalists, will be honored in a special presentation at the May 13, 2026, ABC Awards Excellence in Construction Gala. A min. $500 cash award plus recognition plaque will be awarded to the sole winner.
