2026 Community Service and Outreach Award

Purpose

The ABC Ohio Valley has many member firms who unselfishly give their time and treasure for the betterment of their communities. It is important to recognize that one of the core tenants of the merit shop philosophy is continuous improvement of our firms, employees, and communities through education, service, and volunteerism. The ABC Ohio Valley Community Service and Outreach Award was created to recognize the efforts of member companies who engage their employees through community service and outreach. Its intent is to applaud these programs and to share them with other companies as examples of leadership in the communities in which we live, work, and serve.

This award shall be given annually to a single OVABC member company who has made significant efforts toward involving their employees in community/charitable activities, making a difference in the lives of those touched. The Excellence in Community Outreach Award recipient will be recognized in promotional materials and news releases and will receive a specially selected prize.

Eligibility

All OVABC member companies in good standing are eligible for the award. Each member company may submit one nomination annually for the Community Outreach Award.

Award Criteria

· The company allows and encourages employees to participate in community/charity campaigns

· The program(s) have been implemented and received in a positive manner

· The program(s) have been initiated and conducted by employees

· The program(s) have demonstrated an impact on the community/charity

Schedule

Judging will take place April 2026. Any number of finalists will be selected. The selected finalists will be contacted and receive instructions for the Excellence in Construction Awards Gala planned for May 13, 2026. The winner will be announced at the event.
