OVCEF, partnering with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, has announced the date for the 2010 Safety & Training Day, Thursday, January 21, 2010. This will be the seventh annual safety conference and will be held at the Dayton Convention Center.
Safety & Training Day is a joint effort of the Mid-America OSHA Education Center, the Ohio Valley Construction Education Foundation and the Voluntary Protection Program Association for Construction.
The event is designed to meet the safety and health interests of those in Construction and General Industry. The conference theme is “Weathering the Storm”. Featured guest will Brigadier General John F. Thompson, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. The Luncheon Keynote speaker will be national fall protection expert, Dr. J. Nigel Ellis. Presentations from other industry leaders will focus on methods of best practices to reduce or eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.
