NEW BWC DRUG FREE SAFETY PROGRAM REQUIRES ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION TRAINING FOR SUPERVISORS (07/07/2010)
BWC has designed a new drug-free program.  The DFSP has two levels; eligible employers elect to join either level of the program.

Basic Level:
Participating non-group-rated employers receive a 4-percent discount by meeting all program requirements. These include completion of a safety review, accident reporting, accident-analysis training for supervisors, employee education, supervisor skillbuilding training, alcohol and other drug testing, and a written DFSP policy.

Advanced Level:
Participating non-group-rated employers receive a 7-percent discount by meeting the Basic Level requirements; conducting annual, 15-percent random drug testing, and completing a safety action plan. Advanced level participants must also provide a second chance for employees testing positive.

Both the Basic and Advanced Levels require Accident Investigation training for supervisors. To help our members meet this new requirement, Mid-America OSHA Education Center is presenting OSHA 7505 Accident Investigation on Monday & Tuesday, August 16 & 17, 2010.  Registration fee is $300.  Class begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Registration is available on the OVCEF Training Center Calendar or by calling Lacey at 937-521-1574.
